Taiwan shares end at new high following TSMC's strong gains

Shares in Taiwan closed at a new high on Wednesday, soaring more than 300 points, as investors scrambled to pick up contract chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) and other artificial intelligence-related stocks, dealers said.
