WARWICK, RI —The Rhode Island Airport Corporation on Tuesday expressed support for legislation pending at the State House that would change the name of T. F. Green International Airport to "Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport."

The "Rhode Island" identifier would help people view the Warwick-based airport as a good alternative to Logan International Airport in Boston, according to Iftikhar Ahmad, President and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation.
