The Linn County Sheriff’s Office said Phillip Gurule, 59, of Portland is accused of killing Richard Anderson, 41, of Springfield. Anderson was found dead on a property in the 38000 block of Densmore Road on Dec. 5. Detectives developed a timeline of Anderson’s last days, and Portland’s SWAT team assisted with two search warrants in the Portland area -- one in the 7400 block of SE Henry Place and the other in the 700 block of SW 11th Avenue.
