Dumbarton Academy has received a generous technology donation from a supermarket
A DUMBARTON school has received a donation of free computers as part of an Asda digital inclusion scheme.
The supermarket’s local community champion, Kayleigh Leadbetter, presented pupils from Dumbarton Academy with ten Dell laptops and tech bundles last week.
Acting deputy head teacher Liam Connolly said: “As we return to full time education, these laptops will help continue the work to break down digital barriers and support young people to achieve success in their learning.”
The supermarket chain vowed to donate 7,000 computers to schools across the UK at the start of the year to limit the impact of home-learning on low-income families.
