SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom reported Wednesday that despite the unusual nature of the holiday season, Sullivan County children did not go unserved.
Though health restrictions prevented officials from the annual “Shop with a Cop” program at a local Walmart, Cottom and his fellow officers were able to improvise.
“To make sure that the kids still got to enjoy their Christmas, local officers ordered a toy shipment direct from the North Pole, and personally delivered the presents to the kids,” Cottom reported. “Santa was certainly thankful for his jolly helpers in uniform.”
