Health Sciences North received its first two COVID-19 patients from southern Ontario on Wednesday, with more expected in the coming days.
With Toronto-area hospitals being hit hard by the third wave of COVID, fuelled by more contagious variants, several critically ill patients have been moved to other parts of the province, with more movement expected as Ontario health officials deal with a dwindling supply of intensive care beds.
