Sudan: mutual bombardment between the army and the Rapid Support, and Al-Burhan pledges to continue progress. Battles have been taking place in Sudan since April 2023. Last Friday, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire during the month of Ramadan. The army indicated that it would not take into account international appeals for a ceasefire unless the Rapidsupport Forces agreed to a major military withdrawal. The Rapid Support Forces bombed central Khartoum and the vicinity of the General Command of the Sudanese Army.
