Strawberry Fields, Columbus' fifth medical marijuana dispensary, opened Friday in Eastmoor.
The dispensary will serve patients with one of 25 qualifying medical conditions who have received a doctor's recommendation.
Strawberry Fields, awarded a license under CannAscend of Ohio Columbus, is owned by Jimmy Gould, a Cincinnati businessman who led Ohio's failed 2015 marijuana legalization measure.
Mixed reception to the dispensary
Neighborhood reception to the dispensary has been mixed, said Sharon Parsons, of the East Main Street special improvement district. Parsons said she supports any business as long as they're good members. The dispensary site at 2950 E. Main St. used to be home to JA Baker Appraisal and Estate Sales.
