A large tree hangs over power lines on Islesford following a severe windstorm last week that wreaked havoc in various locations around Hancock County. The strong storm knocked out power to the island community and left a mess of tree limbs in its wake.

CRANBERRY ISLES — A mighty wind blew down trees, knocked out power and destroyed a private dock during the storm that passed through the area last Wednesday, June 30. 
No injuries were reported. 
“Islesford [Little Cranberry Island] was hit pretty hard,” said Katelyn Damon, the town’s public safety coordinator.
