DULUTH, MN -- Garden enthusiasts gathered at Leif Erikson Park in Duluth Saturday for Rose Fest. People got to enjoy rose arrangement demonstrations, a children's treasure hunt, and lessons on how to care for their rose garden. The annual event was co-hosted by the Lake Superior Rose Society and the City of Duluth. It was free to the public and featured local Duluth growers who shared how to water, fertilize, and best care for roses in the Northland. "Our goal here is to teach people about roses and to help them appreciate this beautiful garden, but also to learn to grow roses themselves in a challenging climate like Duluth and all of Minnesota and any place that's north," Carol Borich, Lake Superior Rose Society Member, said.
