The parties reached a settlement in late August last year, where the state controller’s office – which sued the county and Paz Dominguez over allegedly not filing both the county’s adopted budget for 2020-21 and 2021-22 and their financial transaction reports for fiscal years 2019-20 and 2020-21 – agreed to drop the lawsuit in exchange for $12,000 in forfeitures and reports detailing progress on filing delinquent reports.
