As much teaching tools as turn-ons for early viewers, stags were instrumental in modifying attitudes toward sex over the course of the 20th century. The Museum of Sex in New York offers a fascinating peep at the history of stags, from the earliest days of silent cinema to the 1960s, replete with mock 1930s movie theater and titillating artifacts and footage.
