The spirit of giving is truly alive and well in Castleisland Community College and the school has a well established and recognised history of altruism.
In the run-up to Christmas 2019, the students put together a whopping 164 shoe boxes full of toys and goodies for deprived children in various areas of the world.
In 2020 the 'Shoe Box' appeal went on line. However, determined to do their bit for the needy at Christmas, students sought elsewhere for a worthy charity.
They voted to respond to the 'Tralee Soup Kitchen' appeal for dry goods for their food hampers while other students took the time to sit down and write a letter to our elderly neighbours in care homes.
