Posted December 9th, 2020 for SRC Syracuse, NY – Joseph J. Corasanti, Esq. , has been named the new chairperson of SRC’s board of trustees, succeeding Lieutenant General Donald L. Kerrick, U.S. Army, (Ret.). In addition, the board has elected Joan A. Dempsey as the new vice chairperson. Retiring from SRC's board is Allen Naples, who served for nearly 19 years. Kerrick remains a board member. Corasanti is the former president and CEO of Conmed Corporation (NYSE: CNMD). In that role, he led a vertically integrated surgical device company that specialized in orthopedic and general surgery products. During his tenure with Conmed, as both president and COO, and president and CEO, Corasanti presided over strong revenue and earnings growth resulting in the company more than doubling its sales and stock market value while at the same time consolidating manufacturing facilities to reduce costs. Corasanti is also a member of the board of directors of IIVI Incorporated (NASDAQ: IIVI), serving as chairman of the audit committee and past chair of the compensation committee. Prior to joining Conmed, Mr. Corasanti was an attorney with the law firm of Morgan, Wenzel and McNicholas in Los Angeles, California. He is a member of the bar of both New York and California. He is also a member of the college council at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
