Special election for Wrightstown mayor postponed until April WRIGHTSTOWN — A special election for borough mayor will be postponed until April due to the coronavirus pandemic. Gov. Phil Murphy issued an executive order on Monday postponing any election in the state scheduled to be held on or after Jan. 12 until April 20, 2021. The special election for borough mayor will now be held on April 20, according to the governor's executive order. "We will continue to hold elections to ensure that every citizen is able to have their voice heard in a safe matter during this unprecedented time,” Murphy said in a statement on Monday. “Today’s executive order will allow our local election officials to conserve time and resources, while also providing sufficient time to properly prepare for the upcoming elections.”
