Special contribution to policing in Cambridgeshire | Updated: 13:22, 09 March 2021 While most of us have stayed at home a lot more over the past year, some have done the opposite, and all in the name of keeping us safe. The voluntary police officers of the countyâs Special Constabulary, or Specials as they are known, put in shifts totalling more than 45,000 hours in 2020 - 4000 more than in 2019. They attended more than 2,600 incidents and made or assisted 686 arrests. Zoe Wickison, is a legal secretary, but volunteers as a Special out of March police station.
