A 5-year-old South Milwaukee boy was struck by a vehicle late Sunday. Around 9:30 p.m. Mariah Neuharth, who lives on the corner of Fifth and Michigan avenues, said she heard a man yell someone got hit by a car. She went outside and saw about five squad cars blocking traffic. “All you could hear was a little boy screaming and crying,” she said. The boy was in the roadway near Fifth and Marquette avenues when he was struck by a vehicle driven by an 83-year-old South Milwaukee man, according to South Milwaukee Police. The boy was taken to a local hospital and has since been released.
