Sounds of the Summer: Exploring the Tones and Colors of Organs in Winston-Salem... and Beyond

The Modern Age In this final concert of our series, we return to the Fisk Organ on the campus of UNCSA. Built in 1977, influenced by historical instruments but also the contemporary art and music of its age, it is well-suited to the compositional styles of the 20th and 21st centuries: avant-garde, explorations of tonality, minimalism, and more. Program presented by Timothy Olsen and Andrew Pester, with notes presented by Timothy Olsen
