Sopranos star Joseph Siravo dies aged 66 Updated / Monday, 12 Apr 2021 18:58 Joseph Siravo, who played Tony Soprano's father Johnny in The Sopranos, has died. Siravo, who was 66, had been diagnosed with colon cancer. Siravo's agent told entertainment trade publication Variety that the Washington DC-born actor had fought a "long, courageous" battle with cancer. Siravo made his screen debut in the 1993 film Carlito's Way. He also appeared in the series The Blacklist, Oslo and The Light in the Piazza and appeared in over 2,000 performances on the US tour of the hit musical Jersey Boys. Siravo had many Off-Broadway and regional theatre roles among his stage credits. He also taught on a number of acting courses in New York.
