Listed as a defensive back, he did not record any statistics. Deland II is the second member of the family to sign up to play for IU since Deland, Sr. rejoined the program from the Kansas City Chiefs to be the running backs coach. Class of 2023 4-star safety Daeh McCullough verbally committed to IU earlier this month. Dasan McCullough, a four star linebacker in the class of 2022, is verbally committed to Ohio State.
