LINDENWOLD - A day-care worker is charged with the attempted murder of a 1-year-old child, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said Saturday.
Maggie Fruit, 21, of Somerdale also is accused of endangering the welfare of that baby and, separately, another 1-year-old in the same classroom, the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
It alleged the incidents occurred Thursday, July 15, at a daycare center on the 600 block of Chews Landing Road in Lindenwold.
The statement did not identify the daycare business.
Lindenwold police, responding to a 911 call about alleged child abuse around 1:40 p.m., were shown video surveillance of an incident, the statement said.
