LOS ANGELES - Recent studies show that adults with Down syndrome are at a higher risk of hospitalization or death from COVID-19. 
Despite these individuals being more vulnerable to the novel coronavirus, in some U.S. states they fear being left behind in a massive effort to get limited vaccines into the arms of those who need them most.
