A few local areas in Manitoba are receiving federal and provincial funding for their respective infrastructure projects.
In a joint news release, both levels of government say these projects will “create jobs, improve road safety and ensure long-term sustainable infrastructure.”
The Canadian Government is contributing over $48.9-million through its Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program, Manitoba $27.7-million, and all funding recipients are contributing over $15.4-million towards these projects.
The Municipality of Gilbert Plains is getting $145-thousand 5-hundred from Ottawa and over $80-thousand from Manitoba to create 4 retention dams within 4.8 kilometres north of Riding Mountain National Park.
