Little Buffalo State Park at Newport on January 13 reported no snow, less than an inch of ice “covering about 80 percent of the lake” and no winter activities available due to conditions. Raymond B. Winter State Park at Mifflinburg on January 11 reported 4 inches of snow providing a base for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and sledding, and 5 inches of ice on the lake, enough ice for ice fishing and ice skating.
