A small fire was sparked by lightning Thursday afternoon about three miles west of Bend. The Skyliner 2 Fire off of Forest Road 4601 was approximately 1 acre by 6:30 p.m., with "lots of resources on it including air tankers, helicopters, engines and crews," according to Central Oregon Fire Information, a multiagency fire information site. Smoke from the fire was visible from Bend Thursday night. We will update with more information as we know it.Â
