A couple of small cap mining outfits were getting in front of funds on Thursday morning, on the hunt for cash injections.

Rare earths play Hasting Technology Metals went into a halt during morning trade, seeking $57.2 million in fresh equity.
New shares in the placement were being offered to funds at 19¢ a share, which represented a 20.8 per cent discount to the company’s last close and a 9.9 per cent discount to its five-day VWAP.
Money raised would go towards developing Hastings’ Yangibana rare earths project in Western Australia – financing things like mine site and engineering works.
