While many people her age enjoy a comfortable night's sleep, 65-year-old Nomaguzu Luzwana, for the past four months, wakes up around 3am, grabs a bucket and torch, before setting off to scour her sprawling village for drinking water. She is among many women and children in Sikhobeni village in Mthatha who abandon their sleep to search for drinkable water in natural springs, mostly inside dongas, in and around their village.
