Sierra Leone civil war criminal released after serving term

Freetown (AFP) May 30, 2023 - A militia leader accused of hacking civilians to death and other crimes during Sierra Leone's civil war in the 1990s has been released after serving his prison sentence, a court in the West African nation said.
