Share Updated: 4:41 PM EDT Jul 29, 2021 WLWT Digital Staff WLWT Digital Staff Authorities are searching for an escaped inmate in Northern Kentucky who apparently walked away from a jail work camp. Officials with the Boone County Sheriff's Department said Corey Daniels, 30, walked away from the work camp around 2:45 p.m. Thursday. Investigators did not specify where he disappeared, saying only that "steps have been taken to alert local residents and businesses."There is an active search for Daniels. Daniels is currently serving an eight-year sentence for robbery and fleeing or evading police. Anyone who sees Daniels is asked to call 911.
