Sheridan Man Sentenced to Prison for Strangulation
On May 7, 2020, law enforcement responded to an incident at a hotel in Sheridan and soon after their arrival on scene, arrested Robert Babb for the crime of Strangulation of a Household Member. In April, Babb, at a change of plea hearing in District Court, pleaded “guilty” to the charge pursuant to a plea agreement that was reached with the State. A sentencing hearing was held Thursday in District Court where Sheridan County Deputing Prosecuting Attorney Christina White recommended that the Court accept the terms of the plea agreement and sentence Babb to 2 ½ to 5 years in prison.
