Elizabeth Wilton, who is going to Ghana to work in a school in that country THIS big-hearted vicar's daughter will soon leave Selby district to spend three months working as a volunteer in western Africa. Elizabeth Wilton, 23, is set to leave her Sherburn-in-Elmet home in September to travel to Ghana. She will be working at a school in the Volta region of the country. Elizabeth is the middle daughter of Chris Wilton - the priest-in-charge at All Saints' Church, Sherburn-in-Elmet with Saxton, who is also a deputy lieutenant in West Yorkshire - and his wife Angie. She was inspired to take the trip to Ghana following a recent visit to Sherburn from Bishop Matthias, who is in charge of a new diocese head office in the Volta region.
