Shares in Ardagh Metal Packaging – majority-owned by Paul Coulson’s ­Ardagh Group – slumped more than 8pc in early trading in New York yesterday after it posted a $56m (€52m) loss for the final quarter of 2023 after posting a $12m profit for the corresponding period a year earlier. Its earnings in Europe tumbled in the most recent quarter.
