Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies found his heavily duct-taped body behind a brick wall she had built in a downstairs closet at their home on 10th Avenue after receiving a 911 call from their son on Nov. 15, 2017. The couple’s son, Christian, told a dispatcher that his mother shot his father in self-defense after he had tried to choke her and that his body was located in a closet. The couple’s daughter, Gloria, later told deputies the same thing. According to the press release, Wozniak claimed that she was a battered woman and had suffered years of physical, emotional and sexual abuse by her husband.
