This journey is not something that happened overnight. Throughout this process, i spent many weeks away from the city, spent many nights working 12hour days, doing my come and coming back just in time to get to class. By the time i finished Elementary School i saw the beast of poverty. I ran out of fingers to count the youth in my community that lost their lives to gun violence. The club made sure to stay open the nights of shootings, making it so we would have a caring and dependable place to go when it wasnt safe to go home. The club gave me a place where i could be my authentic self. The club showed me the power of a good education and encouraged me to go into private school. It wasnt easy. I found my sense of self slipping away as i switched between environments, but i could always find myself back at the club, a place i didnt have to alter who i was. Every tragedy and piece of divert that i went through in my community, the club was right there to help me through it. When everything in the world seemed hopeless and motivation was hard to find, the club was a place i could find positivity. The club gave me the tools i wanted to foster to see the positivity in the world. They taught me how to be a leader and gave me the space to show other kids what to look up to. The club did so much for me and does so much for other kids. Boys and girls clubs of San Francisco is an incredible force. I honestly wouldnt be the person i am today if it werent were the club. Thank you again for this honor to speak to you today. And i look forward to recognizing sfrik with great pride over the year and as the 201920 youth of the year. [ applause ][ applause ]. All right. V verily he is a god that judges in the earth. If you go to duck, duck, go and type in warroom and go down to project veritas, you will notice that there are people threatening to murder tomorrow morning the evidence that Jeffrey Epstein was murdered in prison. Its going to come out tomorrow. You know when trump mentioned its going to be interesting how many times clinton was on that airplane, he was on it 26 times, 26 times, 26 times. Truth is truth. You know, jesus said theres nothing covered that will not be revealed and that will not be made known. Roger stones trial was today. The man has done nothing wrong. Hes actually a hero. Thats who that guy is. And theyre stacking, okay, the jury against him. I was glad that alex jones released the names of the jurors because theyre so proobama, its incredible whats going on in this nation, this obamaappointed communist judge. 26 seconds, well truth is truth and eventually truth will come out. We are at the time of the end and god is a god of justice and truth. He sees and hears everything. No one can hide from him. In jeremiah god said, am i not thank you. Next speaker, please. I come to city hall once in a while so that i can checkmate because theres a game of chess going on. Its important on a day like today that many people have to think hard and act right. I was on san bruno today where our mta, the municipal transportation agency, without having any meaningful meetings is depriving san bruno avenue of over 46 of their parking accessibility rights. Whats happening today all over San Francisco. If you go to union city not union city, union square. If you go to the castro, if you go on inclement street, go anywhere, nobody gives a damn about the businesses. Small businesses employ the most people in San Francisco, and we have some in this chamber wheeling and dealing, giving awards, saying some good things to some, while acting in a bad way, an evil way, is totally wrong. Thank god there are some, i call them the last of the mohecans who will fake truth to power. Next speaker, please. I voted today. I was sitting at home and said, hey, i created these tshirts, why not go and try to get rid of them. Ive got San Francisco history tshirts. I have the first lady mayor on here, the first black lady mayor, london breed, the first asian mayor and the first black mayor. I will be at the elections outside. Please come support the bayview. Thank you. Next speaker, please. Hello, i live three blocks from the proposed proposal at 3333 california street. Im a transplanted from los angeles clerk mr. President , im pausing the speakers time. Maam, that hearing is actually going to be held next week, november 12. Okay. I have a medical procedure that day and i cannot attend. Clerk the president opened Public Comment on this item and asked if anyone wanted to speak at Public Comment. That was your opportunity. I see. Clerk or anyone elses opportunity to come and let us know. Okay. I thought Public Comment was available for the colleagues, how many of you are confused with this one . Just you . Clerk if you have something in writing, we can make sure its included in the record. Thank you. Next speaker, please. I work at the mission pharmacy. As a specialty pharmacy, mission hill serves patients who have h. I. V. , hepatitis, substance use. The pharmacy has been located in the Mission District since 1978 and has a longstanding history in the community. Recently the department of Healthcare Service sincere reimburses pharmacies across the state for specialty medications. This reimbursement has had a devastating impact on Mission Wellness pharmacy and other pharmacies in San Francisco and across the state. Communitybased pharmacies represent the most accessible Healthcare ProvidersHealthcare Access to vulnerable patients. We provide bubble packages. If this policy is not changed, Mission Wellness cannot continue to serve wellness patients in the county. We have to make sure the wellness patients have access to these important medications. I would like to thank supervisor ronen for introducing this important legislation. I would ask that the board of supervisors support this solidifying San Franciscos position as a leader in healthcare. Good afternoon. Im here from the aids foundation, again in support of the resolution. Thank you to supervisor ronen to call on the department of Healthcare Services to reexamine their new policy for future Service Reimbursement rates. This has an outcome of disadvantaging our communitybased pharmacies who are a key part of our response in the city. It would be unfortunate to see them go out of business. We urge your vote. Thank you. Hello, im the ward nurse at the positive wellness program. We are a primary clair clinic servi serving 2,300 Patients Living with h. I. V. The pharmacy reimburses medicines at a lower rate than it costs to purchase them. Our safety net clinic serves the most Vulnerable People living with h. I. V. In our community. We depend on local Community Pharmacies to provide specialty medications to our patients. Not only do these pharmacies provide the medications for our patients, but they also place them in adherence packaging, making it easier for the patients to take their medications as described. These Community Pharmacies deliver the medications to the patients homes. If we lose these Community Pharmacies because they can no longer afford to stay open or stop providing services, we will lose our fight to keep patients on their medications. Thank you. Next speaker, please. Thank you, supervisor ronen, for bringing this important issue forward. I am the Vice President for the center of advocacy for the california pharmacists association. The drastic reduction in the medical reimbursement rate for pharmacists have been devastating. They have already resulted in numerous closures of Community Pharmacies all over california. The patients who need these medications the most are those suffering with h. I. V. , aids, Behavioral Health issues, et cetera, just to name a few. As the former speaker stated, Community Pharmacies dont just stand behind the counters, we know that these are the individuals going out to the homeless camps in the county and providing the medication to the individuals. We know we have a Mental Health crisis in the state of california, and without these pharmacists who are willing to go into those communities to make sure that those individuals are getting their injections, taking their medicines as prescribed, the situation is only going to grow worse. We want to thank you for bringing this issue forward. San francisco is truly a leader being a healthcare advocate, and we hope we can count on your support. Thank you so much. Thank you, next speaker, please. I am a nursepractitioner and worked on ward 86 for over 20 years and i serve as the deputy clinic director. I want to echo all of the work of the pharmacists who sup superseded me. We do not want to go backward. The patients who need medications for their Mental Illness s and many other issues. We urge you to assist us in rescinding this resolution. Thank you. Next speaker, please. I am a representative for Citywide Council for seniors disabled, also for phta which is Public Housing tenant associations. Im here because of notice number h201909pih201923ha. I was told by a director over at moma that that certificate is no good, that we dont go by that anymore. I showed her the rad guidance and the Mayors Office has told us we dont go by that anymore. This is the new fourth rescission that weve been working on. Were constantly given false information from them. Notice that also in the mayors this draft here, that they when they dig sewage, they send everything out to the neighborhood and that informs them whats happening. This draft, nobody in Public Housing received that draft or saying that theres a draft being done. We are not getting information out of anyone from the Mayors Office. Right now under the rad program is at washington now. We need help trying to slow it down, stop it, because any of the information were getting from the Mayors Office has been nothing but lies to us. Thank you. Thank you. Next speaker, please. I got some bad news for you people. I got a judge fired right down the street. This is my copy of the u. S. Constitution. I was assaulted by a guy wielding a piece of iron. I didnt go to the police because i had a bad experience with the police. My neighbor got his collar broken twice. The police couldnt do anything because they didnt have any witnesses. I was groped in the street by a woman. I went to the police and the police told me they couldnt do anything because his hands was tied by police procedure. If hes being paid, why cant he provide the protection. When i first got here in 1982, i was on market street. This guy got mugged in the alley. This guy had a gash as long as my finger on his eye. I walked out and this cap car turned a corner and i flagged him down. I told the Police Officer that a guy is in the alley and he needs your help. He asked me if these were white people or black people. Now, i want you people to take action. Everywhere i go in this town, im accosted by Homeless People looking for a handout. I was walking home from see that, thats my arm hurting me now. I was walking from the Grocery Store and three of these god damn immigrants are sitting inside the door where i pay the rent waiting for me. I carry a piece of iron everywhere i go. The reason i didnt crack him in the head thank you very much. Next speaker, please. Im here from Mission Health center. Im here to talk about item 48. So the department of Health Services reimburses the medications for less than the cost it is to purchase them. Communitybased pharmacies are forced to choose between discontinuing services and losing their businesses. Communitybased pharmacies represent the most accessible healthcare to vulnerable patients. Who often need a greater level of service thats provided greater than chain pharmacies. We would also like to thank supervisor ronen for introducing this legislation. Sncht thank you. Next speaker, please. Tom gillbert. My mother did turn 95. Right now she is deciding whether to do another medical intervention or hospice. Pg e should be a regional public organization. Our fires and smoke are coming from part of our region. We need to be part of that region solution, part of a region. Moderate air can be surprisingly pretty bad. Ive kind of noticed that for the first time this time around. Tv stations again. Local news should not be banned or blacked out because of cable providers. The people up north that were having the fires, a complete lack of what was going on. We need as much Information Sources as possible. A petition to ban assault rifles and semiautomatic weapons, people killers. I dont want to ban them in San Francisco. I want the federal government to ban them. So what i would like to do is to create a petition for other cities to sign to send to washington, d. C. , to let our voices be known. I dont think were the only ones here that want to ban these weapons. Theyre people killers. The republicans in North Carolina and georgia do whatever they want to create their politicians to win the prize. Here in San Francisco, we have a group that decides we can place people ahead of an election and give them a head start. That is our scandal. Its time to change th
