Senate OKs bill letting legislative leaders control auditor | Legislative Session

The West Virginia Senate passed a bill, on Feb. 19, 2024, that would allow the Senate president and House of Delegates speaker to control the legislative auditor position. State agency reviews would have to come at the direction of those two legislative leaders under Senate Bill 687, whose lead sponsor is Senate Government Organization Committee Chair Jack Woodrum, R-Summers.
