Sebring Local voters to decide on income tax renewal on May 4

SEBRING – Residents of Sebring Local School District will see a 1% income tax renewal issue on the May 4 primary ballot.
The earned income tax issue, which would generate nearly $500,000 annually, is earmarked for current operating expenses. The current levy expires in December.
Sebring Local Schools Board of Education President JoAnn Jones said repairs to school buildings and renovations to the stadium at McKinley Jr./Sr. High School are among items the levy would fund.
"We're looking at replacing some windows for energy efficiency," she said. "We had a recent problem at B.L. Miller Elementary with sewer issues, and we have to take care of some things over there."
