GUWAHATI: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (Seba) is going ahead with its Class 10 state board exams in May on the lines of CBSE and CISCE though the threat of Covid still hangs heavy. A section of guardians has demanded the return to the online mode of studies on social media. But senior officials at Seba said there would be no exam postponement. Sitting arrangements would be Covid appropriate in exam halls with the maintenance of distance between students. Controller of examinations at Seba, Nayan Jyoti Sarmah, said the education board would incur an expenditure of more than Rs 1 crore for masks and sanitization of exam centres. Every student would get a mask.
