Seattle woman charged with second-degree murder for 1997 death of newborn son left in trash can

A Seattle woman who allegedly left her newborn baby to die in a gas station trash can in 1997 has been charged with second-degree murder.
Christine Warren, now 50, was linked to the newborn, buried as Baby Boy Doe, by a DNA sample she submitted to a genealogy website and was traced back to evidence left at the Lake City gas station, according to KING5.
Warren admitted to police that she was the baby’s mother during an interview on March 1, according to court documents, and said that she ignored the pregnancy after the father “reacted negatively.”
