Welcome home!
A personal note, with a nod to new Searsmonters. In 1986 our brother and sister-in-law bought a house and land here in town, even though they were living and working in Connecticut. Your correspondents,

then living in the Boston area, began coming up for weekends and holidays, sometimes with family and sometimes by ourselves. We grew to love the people here and the peace and quiet were irresistible after years of city living.
Six years later we bought a house on land abutting this family property, and in 2000 we moved here full time. This past week Bob and Vicki, our brother and sister-in-law, also moved here for good. We couldn’t be happier and wanted to say publicly to them and other new Searsmonters, “Welcome home!”
