A procession of the activists, under the banner of Pragatishil Chhatra Jote, reached near the law ministry when police barred them by putting barricades on the road, said Sadat Mahmud, organisational secretary of Chhatra Union, Dhaka city unit. Being resisted, they staged a sit-in there. Later, they ended their programme for today.
