West Burlington, IA- The Southeastern Community College Board of Trustees has approved the construction of a new student recreation center at its West Burlington Campus. The Hawk Eye reports that the board approved the plan during Monday's meeting by a unanimous vote. The board will hold a special meeting on September 20th to review bids and vote to decide on a contractor for the project. The rec center could potentially be used for local Jr. high and high school sporting events as well as intramurals for SCC and Iowa Wesleyan students.
