+ MP-elect for Fomena, Andrews Amoako Asiamah has revealed his decision to join the governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) caucus in the 8th Parliament come 2021. Speaking to JoyNews, Wednesday, Mr Asiamah maintained his unfeigned allegiance to the NPP despite his expulsion from the Party after he decided to run as an Independent Candidate in the 2020 Parliamentary elections. “The issue regarding what side I join has been discussed already. I have said it time without number that I am a member of the NPP by blood. There is nothing that can change that,” he stated. Although he considers the decision by the Speaker of Parliament to render his seat vacant weeks before the Parliamentary elections unfair, he indicated that he had moved on and bears no grudge against Mr Mike Oquaye or any other member of the NPP.
