South Korea's ICT exports in April grew on-year for the 11th consecutive month, and reached the largest amount for any month of April, since records began in 1996.
According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on Monday, ICT exports in April amounted to over 17 billion U.S. dollars, up 32.6 percent compared to the same period last year.
This is the steepest on-year gain in 11 years.
The expansion was mainly led by surging demand for semiconductors, displays, and mobile phones.
Semiconductor exports rose on-year for the 10th month in a row in April, up almost 30 percent to 9.4 billion dollars.
Both memory chip and system semiconductor exports saw an increase.
