STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Ramon Ramirez’s lawyer told a federal judge at a sentencing hearing on Wednesday that his client is “generous to a fault.”
Ramirez has let homeless people stay in his house, said attorney Matthew J. Kluger. He’s given others money.
Ramirez’s wife, whose suspected lover he was convicted of conspiring to kill, had even sent a letter of support to the court.
