Travel and hotels reserved only for vaccinated people: Could this model ever be established in the Grand Duchy? "The question does not arise at this stage", says the Luxembourg government.
A parliamentary question from Pirate Party MP Marc Goergen raised several questions about this issue, reacting to trips organised for vaccinated people to certain countries and designated hotel complexes. These are initiatives which go "against our penal code", according to Goergen, who explains that one cannot discriminate based on health.
In a joint response from the Minister of Health and the Minister of Tourism, the government at this point did not wish to take a stance on the matter, both in terms of the penal code breach and the business model itself. "The question does not arise for the moment but if it were to arise in the future, the government will consult the actors concerned before taking a position", the ministers write.
