Army green berets are among those in custody and a florida based private security contractor named jordan good drone says he orchestrated the mission known as operation gideon the u. S. Government of course claims no involvement but its no secret that the u. S. Has been backing venezuelas leader opposition figure one by doe who good row reportedly had a contract with that one point regime change in venezuela has been a major goal in washington just the why else would former u. S. Special forces lead an operation to overthrow madeira oh. You know bruges we do this all the time lets not stop here with the current thing in venezuela lets go back to 19 fifties iran where we have all this blowback trouble with a random day we were ready to go to war with them at all times everything we do is based on stopping iran iran iran yet they never tell the American People about how in the fiftys aranda had a democratic elected president who sought to nationalize the oil well if you do that you incur the wrath of the United States of america because you are not allowed to deprive the International Oil companies of coming in dear country and raping and pillaging so thats what happened in iran fast forward to today thats exactly what hugo chavez originally didnt venezuela he then incurred our wrath interesting he died from a fast moving cancer which if you go back in history thats exactly what Lee Harvey Oswald was involved in when they attempted to kill castro back in the early sixtys a fast moving cancer but now duros in charge and of course there still have the National Eyes oriel in venezuela now my big question is this how can this be legal how could u. S. Citizens get involved in an attempt a violent overthrow of a Foreign Government which will have a direct impact on Foreign Policy in some manner theyre allowed to do this with no repercussions what so all ever well if thats the case then obviously the Us Government winks and looks the other way dont they. You brought up the 1950 s. And the 1960 s. Lets talk about operation gideon being reminiscent of the botched bay of pigs invasion in 1061 that aims to overthrow Cubas Fidel Castro that mission was covertly financed and directed by the Us Government and lets not forget the cia trained exiled cuban opposition soldiers in guatemala and wait for it in florida where these people came from this time now the bay of pigs invasion with wage at the height of the cold war but 61 years later jesse are we really supposed to believe that somethings changed no thats the simple i am certain no nothing changed again if countries throughout the world decide to have a different form of government or if they decide to go against us whatever policy might be they can corral ref we go after them we attempt to change their government make it like ours make it to where we control it and i know people are going to sit out there and say oh jesse youre always jumping on the us youre anti us youre theres no im not but i call us out when we do bad things throughout the world somebody needs to call us out for that because its obvious we wont do it to ourselves no the policy hasnt changed a bit this is Standard Operating Procedure of the United States for the last probably 7500 years since world war 2. Now after the bay of pigs fiasco fiasco Fidel Castros control of cuba only strengthened so history could potentially repeat itself with material if theyre trying to make him less powerful why would they do something that has historically proved that it would do the opposite. Went to cuba and ill tell you what it does we sink somehow that by depriving the people and putting embargoes on them and putting them through all this stuff that somehow the people are going to rise up overthrow their government and their stablish a Good Government that the u. S. Will rubber stamp it doesnt happen that way in fact i can tell you in cuba in my time there the cuban people are going to lead us when they got pride theyre never going to sit back and say oh yes the u. S. Won theyre going to keep their people no matter what and i would certainly like to entertain this thought all of this of bar go against cuba venezuela and all this stuff we do what does it actually accomplish nothing nothing the United States is no different today other than spending the money to embargo a country 90 miles from our coast and now we do the same thing with venezuela we just got there saying come on the cold war is over communism is enough threat nobodys going to invade our country from 90 miles away anymore lets stop the nonsense in other news the u. S. Has vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a 90 day ceasefire in conflict zones around the world during the covert 1000 pandemic diplomats say the u. S. Could not support the latest draft over language reportedly used to describe the World Health Organization the u. S. State Department Says its decision though is due to china repeatedly blocking compromises that would have allowed the council to move forward this again is another example of washington moving against international cooperation. Well it seems so i mean in some cases its good to do things on your own and make the right decisions but its another thing when you live in a vast world like we do with literally hundreds of countries throughout this planet are you so late in yourself from all of them is not particularly a good idea and especially when youre in the middle of a world pandemic it would seem to me that getting along together and everyone going for the same goal of defeating this pandemic would be far more sought solace insightful and the right thing to do in domestic news that researchers from the Robert Wood Johnson foundation and urban institute estimate that between 25 and 43000000 people could lose their Employer Sponsored Health insurance in the coming months due to the soaring unemployment rates from this coronavirus recession more than half of newly jobless people are expected to obtain medicaid coverage in states that have expanded the program under the Affordable Care act for everyone else there is private Health Insurance however soon even that may become more expensive than it already is analysts from California State Health care marketplace say they expect private Health Insurers to raise premiums by as much as 40 percent to recoup the costs of coronavirus testing and treatment other insurers across the nation will likely follow suit meanwhile a new poll of registered voters shows that 69 percent of americans now support medicare for all including 46 percent of republicans just saying what are your comments you seem to be laughing about this well you know maybe the pandemic has a positive outcome here because ive always believed health care is a right that if youre sick you should have the right to go to a doctor its simple especially allegedly were the richest country in the world how can you live in the richest country in the world and not be able to go see a doctor what are 5 interesting though bridgette i hear theres the good part thats called socialism. Lets say that again social zome remember that gets people to run to the women they scatter they they dont want anything to do with social lives and yet now you notice they want socialized medicine because of the pandemic they want the ability for Government Run Health Care to now up and including the republican ma ma what a change of heart we all of a sudden hear of and we ought to target him you know so everyone leaves and so friday our big spending thing that we do is a government designed socialism its called the United States military completely social lives on so you know what socialism is in such a bad thing when taken in small doses is it so long as its for everybody you know theres a lot of socialism for the wealthy so lets shift to the economy this is the perfect conversation american courts are expecting the largest surge ever in corporate and individual bankruptcies due to the cove in 1000. 00 recession Large Public Companies will likely survive but Small Businesses and individuals may not fare as well now bankruptcy is a Court Proceeding in which a judge examines the assets and liabilities of a company or individual that cant pay their bills to determine whether those debts will be forgiven restructured or reduced the process gives people and failing businesses in opportunity to start fresh although a bankruptcy does remain on a Credit Report for 7 to 10 years so its going to affect your future ability to get credit still its supposed to be a safety net so creditors dont continue garnishing debtors wages or filing lawsuits or liens against them now historically courts see a rise in bankruptcy cases when theres a rise in unemployment as were seeing now in the last 6 weeks at least 30000000 people in the country have filed for unemployment so the courts are expecting bankruptcy cases to rise accordingly now we havent seen the worst of the economic fallout from this virus yet have we jesse. I dont think so bridgette i you know i dont have a magic balled to predict anything but we better be very careful youve got the president now wants to resume and get the economy going is normal youve got some of the top scientists in the world who are saying you better be careful because if you screw this up its going to be double as worse as it was can we afford vapid to happen should we bite the bullet maybe for another 30 days you know before we open up because ill tell you what if this statement rebounds whats going to happen to the economy then and whats going to happen to our health in this country theyre now predicting by august 147000 people are going to be dead. Some of the most common forms of bankruptcy are chapter 7 and chapter 11 typically individuals and Small Businesses file under chapter 7 of the u. S. Bankruptcy code while bigger Public Companies typically file under chapter 11 now under chapter 7 a company must stop all operations and go completely out of business while a Court Appointed trustee liquidates all the companys assets to pay off debts when this happens all employees lose their jobs will likely see many chapter 7 bankruptcy is from small local businesses including restaurants Fitness Studios hair salons and retailers but bigger Public Companies that have a larger revenue potential than liquidation value will likely file under chapter 11 of the u. S. Bankruptcy code this allows the company to continue operating while debts and assets are restructured so the company can eventually pay creditors back and hopefully become profitable again now part of the pandemic Many Airlines including delta united and american were able to get out of bankruptcy in under 4 years due to this type of filing now theyre in hot water again but i wanted to bring this up because youre going to see this difference you know you have corporate bailouts and socialism for Big Companies well everybody else is just out of luck. Well its a situation thats tough right now lets look at the you know what we ought to do shouldnt this be a place where the president leads after all our president has filed bankruptcy i heard about 9 to 12 times during his career so we obviously knows how to do it he knows the best way to do it i think the president should lead on bankruptcy hes the guy with the probably the most experience we have in government in declaring bankruptcy now how does trump get away with going bankrupt well rich guys like him form these little corporations they can bankrupt a corporation and then just cast it aside they lose all the debt from it and they dont really lose their ability to still d get money they still get a credit the big large corporations do the ones who are going to suffer as you said are those little ones the ones that donald trump isnt involved in those will be the ones that suffer but i think we should turn to donald trump on this bankruptcy issue because look at the experience he has hes declared bankruptcy i heard between 9 and 12 times throughout his career im not sure if thats true dont quote me but i know he has declared bankruptcy before. All right its time for our break when we return jesse sits down with the german guy for more on the current Global Pandemic well be right back. Im jesse ventura. What. Are we coming for. The world according to cherish. We go to work so you straight home. You are no offense but you no longer a young woman in fact you are one of the last living survivors of the nazi yellow ass im aware of it. Leverage it all you like. You can never forget maybe you can now auschwitz was a day in the life to be in hell because he would never believe that one. Can do to as a hobbit a cause for 32 years of growth and be good for a bit it all seems so a lot over time you decide to make it better when i get out on the farm saw you know what its like ma song to her next to you so you can listen and hopefully bless my heart hurts every. One else choates. Seemed wrong. But the rules just dont. Get to see out of this thing comes at a cost and gains from it equals betrayal. When so many find themselves worlds apart. Just to look for common ground. Im just a bit. What. The world according to shoes. Its my pleasure to welcome back the jerk. Magine that name jason petro hes an expert in microbiology and immunology to get them words out and he hosts the super awesome science show podcast jason welcome back we appreciate you coming back to our show especially at this time and some places are going to get right to it jason some places are starting to lift the quarantine right now is it safe at this time to lift the quarantine for covert 98. 00 and if we do how can we safely start reopening. Well there are a number of places in the world which are ready to do it im in canada you know berta were already starting and its going slowly it has to be slow it has to be staggered so right now lets put it this way you can go golfing you can probably go see your dentist and get those teeth cleaned finally but when you go to the mall no you go to a sporting event know now the big thing that you need to realize is that in order for that to happen you have to have cases diminishing youve got places here which have a handful of cases not thousands so really its more about how many cases are happening and then you can decide whether or not you can start reopening thats essentially what we thought we were going to be seeing in the united not necessarily know that thankfully in other countries thats exactly the process thats happened experts rely on projection models to mitigate covert outbreaks and determine when states can or to map reopen how are these models developed and are of a reliable. Well its mass so when you think about mt there are 2 things you have to realize in a model youre going to have variable in other words they dont necessarily reflect exactly the same thing everywhere and back could be Something Like the number of susceptible people a number of active people the number of exposed people those who have recovered is there a vaccine is there a treatment but then you have these constant things that are supposed to be the same ok and unfortunately when it came to this virus since we didnt have any reflection of it in places like canada or the United States or even russia you had to rely on other countries like italy or china another thing is that those numbers dont reflect their society so of course theyre going to be unreliable. So when we talk about projections they really are estimations and quite honestly we like to can use the word guesstimates and thats what it comes down to i mean in canada we had some really really high projections but they never happened and we were much much lower than the curve ever actually was theoretically determined to be nolen your opinion ha when when should the quarantine be lifted. I think the corn team should be listed when we do see that drop as i said earlier now should be 14 days thats probably a good number to go with some people are saying a month because we are seeing people who are infected who essentially stay that way for a month it all depends on the virus and what it does to the body and then when we finally get to the point not your body by the way you are still safe but when we point. Out can heal then we know what the actual time period is and then when weve gotten to a point where were seeing that reduction in cases then we can actually start getting to a point where were reopening in a slow staggered method. Now if we had better testing could people get back to work to get their daily lives back in order more quickly absolutely once we have a reliable test that is sensitive that is specific and already really gives you an idea of good 19 risks are c. O. V. To virus you are on your way and the reason that is is because when we know where the fire is we can start telling people that they have to essentially stay indoors or avoid other people when we dont know where it is which is what happened in italy china its happening in the states and also happened a little bit here in canada you cant do anything about it so once we get that testing in order and we can test everybody then we know where the virus is we can then take the measures now from a Public Health standpoint our travel restrictions needed to curb the spread of this virus oh im so glad you asked me that because the answer is a big fat no youre really sure so bore borders between countries and cities and all that we shouldnt close anything like that there should be no travel restrictions really there should be and the reason for that is when you have a virus like this one ok you have to realize that its going to come at you from a number of Different Directions so either you turn yourself into an island where no one can come in. Or you essentially realize that you have to focus on the travellers themselves so if a sub if someone has come into your country from somewhere our. Needs to stay isolated for those 14 days thats the best way to approach this if however you start closing off the border lights might just say you close off to china as several countries did you think youre safe and then it comes in from italy or comes in from iran where comes in from south korea theres no way to be able to stop a wildfire like this and you end up getting outflanked so unless you want to turn yourself into it its not going to work now do you think that a 2nd wave of covert 19 is going to happen again this fall well if everyone is saying that theres going to be this 2nd wave all right but heres the thing were already starting to see this happening in china who are the ones who are being infected there travelers theyre people who are coming from outside to work in china those are the cases were not seeing the people who initially were being infected in the 1st wave being in fact that thats a good sign that may actually show that we may develop that immunity ok and if that happens then the way thats not going to be particularly bad now that is really a guesstimate what we really are should be thinking about is that what we saw this time could possibly happen again whether its this or every year afterwards so that we have you know call flu coated season but at the end of the day we know how to protect ourselves so i think the best thing for us to do is not worry about the waves but be sure that we remember what weve done in order to make sure that we get this these numbers down and essentially dont rise again. Now kava has a machinable Health Care System while the United States has a privatized system in your opinion which style has worked better during this pandemic well when it comes to treating the buyer as you have to go with canada simply because you have free Health Care System so people are not afraid to seek out health care when they feel sick therefore were able to detect more people were able to get those people in my old cases and maybe even moderate cases before they turned severe so in that context yes but heres the thing in testing all right even if you have free testing if you cant get the tests it doesnt really matter and thats one of the situations we face here in canada so in the context of a free Health Care System its fantastic when you actually need their help but when it comes to things like testing and such it really depends on whether or not its available before you start even talking about whether your health care is free or not now may 1st was International Workers day and essential workers from all over the world are really the ones workers from amazon walmart fed ex target now they went on strike to protest working conditions during the pandemic how can retailers improve working conditions to keep essential workers healthy and safe. Well 1st off let me just say when we think about essential workers we normally think of firefighters paramedics right librarians theyre essential all the time not the fact is that in this context of covert 19 essential workers or anybody who is performing a service that we absolutely need and unfortunately those are the people who dont get the proper training as we do with say firefighters and paramedics so instead of training all of these people which is what i would really like to see what we need to do is give them the resources they need to be able to protect themselves now many places are doing this were seeing plexiglas showing up a cashier at terminals were seeing places where masks are being handed out and of course we have the Hand Sanitizer absolutely everywhere and im so happy about that but it is not its happening dont have to bear thinking about disinfection because you know were coronavirus likes to hide as we found in a study in finland its those payment terminals where youre actually boop boop boop i mean nobody is thinking about those but those probably should be disinfected after every use right so start using the people who we think as essential workers how do we keep them safe and then start applying that in the walmarts and Grocery Stores and other places like that thats the best thing we can do jason again i want to thank you you come on my show you provide knowledge insight and thats what we need i think right at this point in time we did the truth so that we can all adapt to whats going on jason thank you very much look forward to having you back again. Thank you so much. Thanks for watching follow us on social media and send us your comments about the show well be back next week when we cover more stories ignored by the corporate media.
