but it seems not everyone is buying into her. those behind. me i would have to call a. child abuse. seems to me. just after 11 am paulo 10 pm in manila and 5 in the evening here in moscow this tuesday september the 24th welcome to r.t. international. russia's foreign ministry has 10 members of its delegation to the u.n. general assembly in new york where did visas ahead of this year's session most schools criticize the move calling it a provocation. response we have joined me earlier in the studio with what is an. absolutely furious because if you think about is that's a huge thing. constant in russia's prominent politician and diploma a term in all of the foreign affairs committee of the upper term for the russian parliament said he's not going to attend the u.n. general assembly that is open these days in new york because of visa issues and he wasn't actually denied american visa but what basically happened as far as we understand is that his application didn't go through and he was not to fight about that very very last moment and he failed to protect american visa on time it doesn't sound like anything criminal he can still reapply but clearly there is no time enough. so he's going to miss the discussions he were planning to participate in and the thing is that he was not the only one to put in this unpleasant situation we know that at least 8 other members of the russian delegation's i mean they arrived this morning in one of moscow airports with bags with tickets to new york with plans to participate in important debates and they expected their passports with american visas to be delivered to the airports from the u.s. embassy this is normal procedure but it never happened so this is an aspect of this health situation is that these people were not not to fight about what's going on and the only learned about that very last moment and the u.s. side says talks about some technical problems but constant in calls the provocation this is absolutely unprecedented situation the little states of america does not have to determine who is. to participate to participate in. the united nations. will be responded to by the russians no doubt about it you can see he is very angry it's not exactly clear what measures constant was talking about what we heard from russian president spokesperson that his call for also that there will be a response from the crowd and then there is a furious reaction from the russian foreign ministry as well we know that the u.s. deputy ambassador has been summoned to the foreign ministry here in moscow over some pleasant situation maybe we can expect some clarification later on and we heard from the foreign ministry spokesperson that is the heart of i mean she described it as an example of huge disrespect from the americans let's take a listen documents that we handed over for process in earlier a couple of months before departure were returned to us with the wording they have been handed in early it's an outrageous example of disrespect by the u.s. to u.n. members as well as an example of a failure to fulfill obligation as the host country of the world are going. well good thing is that we hear that. a lover of russia's foreign ministry who is leading the russian delegation that the u.n. general assembly is going to address this issue at his meeting with. his secretary of state maybe there will be some explanations. are there any other cases when when foreign delegations have problems entering the u.s. oh yeah of course you have those thoughts for the 1st time and even during the 74th session we heard from teheran that several members of the rat in delegation were not issued american so we know that the iranian leader mr heinie and the foreign minister mr is going to attend general assembly there delegation is dramatically cut and if you are you know. yeah but i mean if you think about it that's a huge thing because the u.n. general assembly is an annual event and it's a huge platform and if you do occasionally by have i mean of course you work is a fact and your expectations are all or it doesn't sound fair. global affairs analyst puckering henningsen believes washington is attempting to hinder the work of international organizations like the u.n. . this is just beyond diplomatic games and chess is something else the broader theme people need to look at here is that this administration the trumpet ministration is actively trying to undermine and dismantle multilateral institutions wherever they can find them and so you have unofficial sanctions and official sanctions those people on the lists of course are using that to maybe impede their ability to travel that includes diplomats but on officially they can do this via bureaucratic red tape and games by using the state department as a kind of political instrument in this way to harass certain countries that the administration believes are perceived as being enemies of the united states and right at a very crucial time with between saudi arabia iran and we also have the kashmir crisis going on china and hong kong the i.n.f. treaty being abandoned we have syria right now an impasse and it live but potentially is such an important time all diplomats need to be in new york need to be attending all of these important meetings and for the u.s. to do this it really draws into question what the real agenda of this administration is in terms of its relationship with the world meanwhile russian deputy foreign minister sergei. spoken of the problems ordinary citizens are going through trying to get visas to the u.s. in an exclusive interview with r.t. which airs later today he also the scots the. school in washington are facing in their relations they have problems in areas that directly affect the interests of people from the main street in both places where the private of our consul a president says for instance at the best coast and we have a long road speed for peace. well waiting for interviews at the u.s. consular missions here this is just an example and it goes across the board from such things further to for instance limitations for normal activities of embassies in both places further over to our economic corporation and you know arms control and nonproliferation we're just back. to another big story of the day britain's highest court has dealt on precedented legal defeat to the prime minister with judges unanimously ruling boris johnson's the solution to suspend parliament earlier this month was on law for the prime minister's advice to her majesty was unlawful void and of no effect this means that the order in council to which lead was also a little full void and of no effect and should be quashed the probation was also void and of no effect parliament has not been wrote. amid how discontent from the public the prime minister suspended parliament after beginning of september for 5 weeks it was widely seen as a move to prevent m.p.'s from scrutinizing his plan to exit the european union on october the 31st with or without a deal a scottish court later ruled a move on lawful now the highest court in the land agrees it means parliament cannot set again the commons speaker says it will resume whedon's that morning boris johnson is now returning early from the un in new york saying he intends to carry on with brags that regardless this is a vote it did we will respect to respect the judicial process i have to say i strongly disagree with what the justices who thought and i don't think that. it's right but the most appalling please we get a little break see it on october 31st. let's go live now to dr mark shelley him who is head of the politics and international relations department of britain's reading university good to see you again mark is today's ruling a fatal blow for boris johnson getting breaks it done and dusted by october 31st look at all of them on a just a 2nd but 1st. in terms of it makes it much much harder for him to make it happen by the 31st potentially at all what the courts have done is put the power back in the hands of parliament's taking it away from the executive i mean this was a massive exercise in executive overreach and that might work in some countries but the u.k. has shown itself today through the rule of law that it doesn't want to be driven into the arms of autocracy democracy triumph today and that will make it harder for brakes it to happen on the times that. i'm selfish critic. scenting blood here some of the reaction we heard. right before is john certainly historic words to consider his position and become the shortest serving prime minister there's ever breathed look. we cannot allow a prime minister that has been the subject of that extraordinary ruling this morning to simply stay in office with impunity or number 10 say johnson won't be resigning the fly spock from new york though how difficult will it be for him not to succumb to the pressure. johnson is toast his political future is now firmly in the past. the conservatives want somebody who very probably lines to the queen who has been held up as legally weak and actually against the law to be leading the country into an election that is almost certainly around the corner he may fight on for a little while it might be a slow death of a 1000 cuts but george cummings recalled as the shortest prime minister in u.k. history $129.00 days is still severely under threat former prime minister john major hasn't held by actually just thing new other u.k. leader has ever treated either the queen or parliament this way high valid criticism. it's a pretty finally claim what we had here was naked political thing ever since boris johnson became prime minister it's been less about issues such as breaks it and more about cementing his place in number 10 by calling the snap election by getting it all done quickly before there could be any scrutiny or any accountability by pivoting away from issues and jumping on new ones and he has been caught out he played fast and loose with the law working absolutely at the margins and that's not going to play well with history it's not going to play well at the tory conference ok if that happens and if he turns up there next week and it's absolutely not going to play well in parliament. ok dr mark sheldon head of running universities politics and international ations the partner thank you very much for your time and thoughts this are. ok as you can see behind me the u.s. prison donald trump is speaking right now at the u.n. general assembly in new york let's listen in to what he has to say this year. we have beheld so. would spiralis were. oh rebels who stirred us with passion and heroes who emboldened us with courage. all here to share plans proposals visions and ideas on the world's biggest stage. like those who met us before our time is one of great contests high stakes and clear choices. the essential divide that runs all around the world and throughout history is once again thrown into stark relief. it is the divide between those whose thirst for control. eludes them into thinking they are destined to rule over others and those people and nations who want only to rule themselves. i have the immense privilege of addressing you today as the elected leader of a nation that prizes liberty independence and self-government above all. the united states after having spent over 2 and a half trillion dollars since my election to completely rebuild our great military . is also by far the world's most powerful nation. hopefully it will never have to use this power. americans know that in a world where others see conquest and domination. our nation must be strong in wealth in might and in spirit. that is why the united states vigorously defends the traditions and customs that have made us who we are. like my beloved country each nation represented in this hall as a cherished history culture and heritage that is worth defending and celebrating. and which gives us our singular potential and strength in the free world to bust embrace its national foundations it must not attempt to erase them or replace them. looking around. and all over. this large magnificent planet. the truth is plain to see. if you want freedom take pride in your country. if you want democracy hold on to your sovereignty and if you want peace love your nation. wise leaders always put the good of their own people. and their own country 1st the future does not belong to global ists the future belongs to patriots the future belongs to sovereign and independent nation. who protect their citizens respect their neighbors and honor the differences that make each country special and unique. it is why we in the united states have a barked on an exciting program of national renewable. in everything we do. we are focused on empowering the dreams and aspirations of our citizens. thanks to our pro growth economic policies our domesticity unemployment rate reached its lowest level in over half a century. fueled by massive tax cuts and regulations cuts jobs are being produced at a historic rate. 6000000 americans have been added to the employment rolls in under 3 years last month african-american hispanic american and asian american unemployment reached their lowest rates ever recorded. we are marshaling our nation's vast energy abundance and the united states is now the number one producer of oil and natural gas anywhere in the world. wages are rising incomes are soaring. and 2500000 americans have been lifted out of poverty in less than 3 years as we rebuild the unrivaled mite of the american military we are also revitalizing our alliances by making it very clear. that all of our partners are expected to pay their fair share of the tremendous defense burden which the united states has borne in the past. at the center of our vision for national renewal. is an ambitious campaign to reform international trade. for decades the international trading system has been easily exploited by nations acting in very bad faith. as jobs were outsourced a small handful grew wealthy at the expense of the middle class. in america the result was $4200000.00 lost manufacturing jobs and 15 trillion dollars in trade deficits over the last quarter century. the united states is now taking that decisive action to end this grave economic injustice. our goal is simple we want balanced trade that is both fair and reciprocal. we have worked closely with our partners in mexico and canada to replace nafta. with the brand new and hopefully bipartisan u.s. mexico canada agreement. tomorrow i will join prime minister of japan to continue our progress in finalizing a terrific new trade deal. as the united kingdom makes preparations to exit the european union i have made clear that we stand ready to complete an exceptional new trade agreement with the u.k. that will bring tremendous benefits to both of our countries. we are working closely with prime minister boris johnson on a magnificent new trade deal. the most important difference in america's new approach on trade concerns our relationship with china. in 2001 china was admitted to the world trade organization. our leaders then argued that this decision would compel china to liberalize its economy and strengthen protections to provide. things that were unacceptable to us and for private property and for the rule of law. 2 decades later this theory has been tested and proven completely wrong not only has china declined to adopt promised reforms it has embraced an economic model dependent on massive market barriers heavy state subsidies currency manipulation product amping force technology transfers and the theft of intellectual property. and also trade secrets on a grand scale. as just one example i recently met the c.e.o. of a. terrific american company micron technology at the white house micron produces memory chips used in countless electronics to advance the chinese government's 5 year economic plan. a company owned by the chinese state allegedly stalled micron's designs valued at up to $8700000000.00. soon the chinese company obtains patents for nearly an identical product and micron was banned from selling its own goods in china. but we are seeking justice the united states lost $60000.00 factories after china and the w.t. . this is happening. to other countries all over the globe. the world trade organization needs drastic change. the 2nd largest economy in the world should not be permitted to declare itself a developing country in order to game the system. at others' expense. for years these abuses were tolerated. ignored. or even encouraged. globalism exerted a religious pull over past leaders causing them to ignore their own national interests. but as far as america is concerned those days are over. to confront these unfair practices i placed massive us on more than $500000000000.00 worth of chinese made goods. already as a result of these terrorists supply chains are relocating back to america and to other nations and billions of dollars are being paid. to our treasury. the american people are absolutely committed to restoring balance to our relationship with china. hopefully we can reach an agreement that would be beneficial for both countries. but as i have made very clear i will not accept a bad deal for the american people. as we endeavor to stabilize our relationship we are also carefully monitoring the situation in hong kong. the world fully expects that the chinese government will honor its binding treaty. made with the british and registered with the united nations in which china commits to protect freedom legal system and democratic ways of life. how china chooses to handle the situation will say a great deal about its role in the world in the future. we are all counting on president xi as a great leader. the united states does not seek conflict with any other nation. we desire peace cooperation and mutual gain with all. but i will never fail. to defend america's interests. one of the greatest security threats facing peace loving nations today is the repressive regime in iran. the regimes record of death and destruction is well known to us all. not only is iran the world's number one state sponsor of terrorism. but iran's leaders are fueling the tragic wars in both syria and yemen. at the same time the regime is squandering the nation's wealth and future in a fanatical quest for nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them. we must never allow this to happen. to stop iran's path to nuclear weapons and this is i withdrew the united states from the terrible iran nuclear deal. which has very little time remaining. did not allow inspection of important sites and did not cover the list of missiles. following our withdrawal we have implemented severe economic sanctions on the country. hoping to free itself from sanctions the regime has escalated its violent. and unprovoked aggression in response to iran's recent attack on saudi arabian oil facilities we just impose the highest level of sanctions on iran central bank and sovereign wealth. all nations have a duty to act. no responsible government should subsidize iran's blood lust. as long as the ron's menacing behavior continues sanctions will not be lifted they will be tightened. iran's leaders will have turned a proud nation into just another cautionary tale. of what happens when a ruling class abandons its people and embarks on a crusade for personal power. and riches. for 40 years the world has listened to iran rulers. as they lash out at everyone else for the problems they alone have created. they conduct. ritual chants of death to america. and traffic in monstrous anti semitism. last year the country's supreme leader has stated israel is a malignant cancer is tumor. that has to be removed and eradicated it is possible . and it will happen. america will never tolerate such anti-semitic a. fanatic several long. used hatred of israel to distract from their own failures. thankfully there is a growing recognition in the wider middle east that the countries of the region share a common interest in battling extremism and unleashing economic opportunity. that is why it is so important to have normalized relations between israel and its neighbors. only a relationship built on common interests mutual respect and religious tolerance can forge a better future. iran citizens deserve a government that cares about reducing poverty ending corruption and increasing jobs not stealing their money to fund. and massacre abroad and at home. after 4 decades of failure it is time for leaders to step. forward. and to stop threatening other countries and focus on building up. their own country. it is time for iran's leaders to finally put the iranian people 1st. america is ready to embrace friendship with all who genuinely seek. peace and respect. many of america's closest friends today were once our greatest foes the united states has never believed in permanent enemies we want partners not adversaries america knows that while anyone can make war only the most courageous can choose peace for the same reason we have pursued. bold diplomacy on the korean peninsula. i have told kim jong on. what i truly believe that like iran his country is full of tremendous untapped potential. but that to realize that promise north korea must denuclearize around the world our message is clear. america's goal is lasting. america's goal is.
