Riverside to acquire majority stake in Clinical Education Alliance Print The Riverside Co. has agreed to acquire Clinical Education Alliance LLC (CEA), a Virginia-based provider of interactive live and web-based certified continuing medical education activities and related training for health care professionals. Riverside is buying the company from Philadelphia-area private equity firm Renovus Capital Partners, which acquired CEA in January 2018. Renovus continues to have a minority stake in CEA. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Per a description by Riverside: CEA develops learning materials delivered through in-person or virtual events developed by on-staff scientific experts. The Virginia-based company is the global leader in the development of innovative virtual and live continuing medical education. (Continuing medical education) allows health care practitioners to learn and discover novel treatments and updates in medical science, all with the goal of helping better treat patients, and to stay compliant with various regulatory requirements.
