Ridgefield Firefighters Mourn Loss of Ricardo Torres, Jr., Lamont Directs Flags To Half-Staff

Ridgefield Professional Firefighters are mourning the loss of fellow firefighter Ricardo Torres, Jr., from New Haven who died in the line of duty today. "We are truly saddened by the news of a Line of Duty Death of one of our brothers from New Haven. May God bless his family and friends as well as all our brothers and sisters at NHFD," they wrote on Facebook.
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he is directing U.S. and state flags in Connecticut lowered to half-staff in honor of New Haven Firefighter Ricardo Torres, Jr., who died in the line of duty while responding to a residential fire early this morning.
