A RESTAURANT worker from Johor faked a positive Covid-19 test result in an attempt to quit but it ended up costing the business owner thousands of ringgit in losses as the shop had to be closed and all workers tested for the virus, China Press reported.
The woman had submitted a report showing she had tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday. Upon receiving it, the owner immediately closed the shop and had sent all employees for testing.
All customers who visited the restaurant on Monday were also informed of the incident.
When the restaurant owner discovered that the report had a different date and confronted the woman, she admitted that she faked the report.
